What is Island Impressions Events?
Island Impressions Events specializes in Boutique Picnics and virtual event consulting. We offer beautifully designed picnic experiences and expert guidance to help clients plan their perfect in-person celebrations.
Where do you offer your services?

North Island Boutique Picnics are available in Campbell River and Comox Valley. If you’re interested in a picnic outside these areas, please contact us at hannah@islandimpressionsevents.com to discuss availability.

Event consulting is entirely remote, and we provide services to clients across Canada.
Can I choose the location for my picnic?
Yes! You can choose whether you’d like your picnic indoors or outdoors at your preferred location. If you need recommendations, we’re happy to help. Please note that you are responsible for booking, paying for, or getting the required approval and/or licenses for your chosen location. This is not the responsibility of Island Impressions Events.
Boutique Picnic Packages
Can I bring my dog to the picnic?
Absolutely! We even offer special options for pups to make sure they can be part of the experience. We offer Barcuteries (dog charcuteries) using locally made pet treats to keep your furry friends happy too. However, it is the client’s responsibility to ensure that their chosen location allows dogs.
Do you offer picnics for children’s parties?
Yes! We now offer the Enchanted Boutique Picnic, designed perfectly for children.
How long do the picnics last?
Extra time can be discussed after booking, please contact us at hannah@islandimpressionsevents.com. This is dependant on time availability.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule my picnic?

Full payment is required at the time of booking.

If you cancel at least 7 days before your event, you’ll receive a 50% refund on the booking (add-ons are non-refundable).

If you cancel less than 7 days before the event, no refund will be issued.

Date changes require at least 14 days’ notice and a $25 rescheduling fee.
What happens if the weather is bad?
We highly recommend having a backup location in mind if the weather is bad. If the weather prevents your picnic from taking place as planned, we can help with setting up indoors.
Are the picnic items mine to keep?
All décor, florals, dog bowls, and setup items are rented for your experience and must be returned, except for food and gifts, which are yours to keep. Clients are responsible for all rented items during their use. Any damaged or lost items will be billed accordingly.
Do you provide alcohol?
No, we do not provide alcohol, but you’re welcome to bring your own only if your chosen location allows it. Island Impressions Events does not check with your location, this is your responsibility.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
Yes, you are welcome to bring additional food and drinks to your picnic. Just let us know if you need any recommendations!
Do you stay at the location during the picnic?
No, we do not stay at the location during your picnic. We will return after the booked amount of time to clean up everything. Guests are responsible for ensuring that any garbage is disposed of properly (we provide a garbage can) and that the location is respected during the event. While the picnic is unattended, guests are responsible for all items and décor.

Why do you choose gluten-free options where possible?
As a celiac-owned business, we understand how difficult it can be to find gluten-free event experiences. That’s why we prioritize gluten-free options wherever possible, ensuring a safe and inclusive dining experience for our guests.
Do you source products locally?
Yes! We believe in supporting fellow small businesses. For our baked goods and gift package items, we carefully select high-quality products from nearby artisans and vendors.
Event Consulting Services
What type of events do you consult on?
We offer remote consulting for in-person events, specializing in birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, and proposals. Whether you need help with planning, budgeting, vendor recommendations, or event design, we provide expert guidance to make your event stress-free and memorable.
Where do you offer event consulting?
Our event consulting services are fully remote and available to clients anywhere in Canada.
Do you offer add-ons for event consulting?
Yes! We offer additional services such as menu planning, setup instructions, party game ideas, seating chart planning, an event day guide, virtual toast coordination, custom décor inspiration, and venue research.
Booking & Logistics
How do I book a picnic or event consultation?
You can book Picnics directly through our website. For Virtual Consulting, please email us at hannah@islandimpressionsevents.com to check availability and discuss your event details.
How far in advance should I book?

For picnics, we recommend booking at least two weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and time. Popular dates such as Mother’s Day, Holidays and Event Days fill up fast.

For event consulting, the earlier the better to ensure you get the best planning support possible.
Do you provide food other than snacks and added baked goods?
At this time, our picnics (excluding Enchanted) include a Snack Basket and a gluten-free baked goods package (included in the Premium Package). If you’d like to bring additional food, you’re welcome to do so.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments made through Shopify only. Full payment is required at the time of booking.
Custom Picnic Setup Variations
Can I expect my picnic setup to look exactly like the photos on your website or social media?
While we aim for every picnic to look as beautiful and thoughtfully designed as the photos we share, please note that variations may occur due to the following factors:
